but obviously we aren't in the 70's anymore. I'm disappointed because I believed to have bought one of those american tanks that would run for hundred thousands miles without a single issue. Would love some help any ideas pls reply thank you!Īs I mentioned in another thread, I've had so many problems with her in the first year than all the other cars I had in the past, summed together. Tuner has looks at multiple logs at this point and he said he can’t see anything in the logs. I am about too do a compression test as well. I’m at the point where I’m going too start replacing ignition parts, plugs, coils, injectors. Car runs great and drives fine can’t hear any audible misfires while driving. I am completely baffled, no one seems to know what the issue is, spark plugs are around 3 months old, stock injectors, stock ignition coils. Drove home 15 minutes got a check engine light and sure engine got p0300 again, as-well as p0316 (misfire on startup within first 1000 revolutions). Hey guys been a while now have had zero issues with a misfire since until last night when I started my car. Car runs and idles great and pulls strong.
FORD ENGINE CODES P0300 CODE
I looked at other threads but all of their codes are associated with another code such as a cylinder specific misfire not sure what too do. Want too get the issue fixed ASAP any suggestions please post. Not sure what too do I have long tube headers coming next week with a appointment too put them in. I cleared the code and it came back on about a week later. I checked the plugs all looked fine and didn’t smell like gas so I don’t think I have a bad coil. I have new plugs in the car about a month old. If trouble codes point to any sensor(s) in any of these systems, including the oxygen sensor, check those other system first since they may be affecting operation of the oxygen sensor(s).Hey guys another issue sadly so was driving the car check engine light came on and p0300 multiple engine misfires. Problems in other systems may have an impact on fuel control operation as well. For example, a duct in the air cleaner assembly between the MAF sensor and throttle body may not be properly connected or may be damaged.
FORD ENGINE CODES P0300 MANUALS
Haynes manuals come with the manufacturer suggested maintenance schedule, plus many step-by-step procedures for maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs projects you can do at home.
FORD ENGINE CODES P0300 MANUAL
If you don't have the manual yet, get a relatively inexpensive aftermarket copy from Amazon. The troubleshooting section of your vehicle repair manual can be of great help here.

These and other signs of trouble can give you a clue as to where to look. Have you noticed any engine problems in the recent past? Rough idle, stalling, fuel odors, hissing sounds coming from the engine oil leaks around the valve cover. Catching up with your vehicle maintenance helps you fix and prevent other issues from showing up. For example, you may need to replace old spark plugs and wires, old fuel and air filter, clean and check the EGR valve. Chances are they are the ones causing you trouble. If you have neglected maintenance in any of those areas, concentrate your efforts there.

If there are codes other than a P0300, start diagnosing and try to fix those, if possible. Make sure you're taking into account all the trouble codes stored in your car's computer memory, including pending codes.

However, here are some logical steps you can take to get yourself organized: Knowing where to start hunting for the source of that random misfire can be a daunting task in itself.
